Amy over at Sparrow's Flight has tagged me with the following:
Things I want to do before I die:
Have more writing published, be a well known and respected writer, get married, have children, be a godly woman (always working on this one), improve my relationship with Christ, travel
Things I can do:
Read/translate Biblical Hebrew (though not a scholar in this, still a 'beginner' really), knit, crochet, read, pray, type fast and accurately
Things I cannot do:
Sing well, balance a cheque book very well, speak or read French (among many other languages), play a musical instrument, walk in the grass in bare feet
Things that attract me to my husband:
Not married, but the things that would be attractive to me would be that he is a godly man, loves Jesus and is faithful to Him, actively seeking the Lord, actively serving the Lord, nice eyes and smile, honesty, kindness and compassion, good sense of humour
Celebrity crushes I've had in the past:
Matthew McConahey, the guy that played Greg on Dharma & Greg, John Stamos

Hi Shelley, I have the flu so I'm not blogging today. Just wanted to stop by and say thank you for your uplifting words to me. Oh yeah, I had a crush on John Stamos, too.
Its so fun to read this. It lets others get to know us better, don't you think so? I do. This was fun Shelley. And...I love the Psalm 62:1 verse in your sidebar. And...the Psalm 100:4 too. What a blessing to belong to Jesus!
that's really ambitious, translating the NT to Hebrew, don't think I will attempt that, but since you are going to school and learning how, I will pray you master it.
Be Blessed.
Live, love laugh, I should have clarified it better...I'm in an Advanced Hebrew class, and we are translating 1 Samuel from Hebrew to English. I don't think I'd be able to do it the other way around as we never learned that way, or the way their word order is, etc.
Jennifer, I do hope you feel better soon; will say a prayer for you.
Maggie Ann, yes I do agree that this sort of thing lets us get to know the person better. I enjoy reading it on other peoples blogs as well.
Gosh I wish I could read/translate Biblical Hebrew. J.E.A.L.O.U.S.
Fun stuff.
Katie I love the Hebrew language. It is so beautiful and poetic in sound. Last year my class visited the synagogue and went to one of the Sabbath services. The men there were singing their prayers and passages...it was so beautiful to hear!
Have a bad experience walking barefoot?
LOL Nettie..well I don't honestly know. I used to be able to do this when I was a kid...but somewhere along the line I started getting paranoid or something about the possibility of stepping on a bug or something.
Jess..so do I...I even bought a Beach Boys cassette one time (ok i had several, but one in particular) because it had John singing one of the songs on it...
i would love to read the bible languages ... you really get an understanding of what the original text conveyed ... :o)
no george clooney?! =)
I would lovet o be able to read Hebrew, too. It would be so awesome to read it in the original language. :-)
