Success!!!

Woo Hoo!! I have success at last!! I finally fixed my blog...yet again. I kind of cheated though. I had to go in and 'create' a new blog with the same template as this one so that I could go and compare what, if anything, was missing or added to my template to mess it up. Turns out as I was trying to get the count down clock thingy up above all fixed on, I somehow managed to delete the line needed in order to keep the lighter pink colour all the way down on the main blog area and the sidebar. Sheesh! So, I did a simple copy and paste job and voile! It worked. Then, I went in and deleted the other blog. Now, if I am smart (the jury is still deliberating on that one), I will do as Nettie suggested and keep a copy of my template cut and pasted in MS Word so that if anything happens again, I will still have it this way...Oh, and thanks to the one (sorry, I forget offhand which one of you it was) who told me how I could center the countdown clock...as you can see, it worked! Thanks again!

Ok...now, to get down and busy posting again.

Shelly, that is EXACTLY how I managed to fix my own blog! How funny. You know, I'm sure there's a class for this at our local community college but who has the time? Or the money?

Oh, and I love the counter! And yes, I also have a copy of the template saved in Word! LOL

I agree Jennifer...I simply don't have time (with school) to take yet another course. I am sure HTML or whatever is taught somewhere around here, and at the very least I think my brother has an idea on how it works so I suppose I could always ask him to help whenever he's around.

I've added yet another feature over on the sidebar...the Psalm of the day (found it on someone else's blog and went to that site and copy and pasted the code for it...thought that was pretty cool so I 'borrowed' the idea lol...

Now, before I forget...because believe it or not, I have since forgotten to copy the template over to word...until I read your comment, so before I forget again I'd better get and do that LOL

Congratulations, Shelly! I don't know if I would have thought of making an exact duplicate blog.

Thanks for dropping in to my blog. It's always nice to meet new people!

And, yes, it is refering to the previous blog! :) Now, I'm off to read some of your other blogs and get to know you better!

That was not cheating! Don't feel guilty! That's how we all do it. Truth is, there is absolutely noone who knows how to do those things. They are ALL copied from someone else's work.

That is a great idea to save a copy of the template. I need to do that. Thanks for visiting Knitting Kat and leaving a comment. What a day brightner to have comments! Yes, Miss Kitty is plastic canvass needlepoint. My Mum would be so pleased to hear all the lovely comments about her work. This is 'favorites Friday' so I need to post a pic of something that is a fav. today, like hurry Maggie...before its time to start supper!

I know exactly how you feel! It drives me nuts when I mess something up and have to figure out what it was!! I am in awe of those who can type HTML as if it were english words!! I love the additions! Your words, however, are what make your blog so wonderful!! :) I enjoy your writing very much Shelley!

Suzii, thank you so much for those kind words about my writing. I guess I get a little paranoid or something that my blog isn't as good or as witty or thought provoking as others...but then I guess since God has made us all unique individuals, we are going to bring that aspect to our blogs as well. God bless, and I enjoy your writing too.
